Under the Sea Birthday Party

Under the Sea Birthday Party

With cascades of blue everywhere, this Under the Sea birthday extravaganza was sensational.  Jesi from Dolce Designs created a world of underwater fun with this adorable theme.

Using the bright daylight to illuminate the venue, a sweet sheer blue, polka-dot curtain was hung to give an elegant under-water effect that was definitely eye-catching.

Under the Sea Birthday Party backdrops and decorations

The food table was set in front of the curtain, and was covered in a sweet, light-blue cloth that assisted in enveloping the room in the sea-like vibe. The snacks were laid out very neatly, making it easy to see what was available to try out, and there was quite a variety to choose from. One fantastic treat was blue jello, placed in adorable little jars that looked like sea-water. Yummy looking starfish sugar cookies were frosted in a light blue and sent on a tray looking like they just came off the beach. Blue macarons were also made, matching the theme perfectly. Cupcakes frosted in white had adorable little sea creature tags and were placed in wonderful marbleized paper wraps for a cool effect. Other tasty options included cake pops donned with swirly straws for easy, clean access  and even some scrumptious looking blue rock candy.

The cake was simple yet adorable with a layer of beautiful white swimming in the sea of blue that made up the entire table. Set on top of an elegant blue vase, this cake had a sweet ribbon wrapped around the bottom and was topped with a banner of blue little fishes, blending with the theme excellently.

The guest table was set up to match the food table splendidly, with each chair also containing a balloon to fill the room with a fun atmosphere. The table was covered in blue and lovely white dishes were used, standing out elegantly.

Pink Crabby Birthday Party

What a bundle of fun this Pink Crabby Preppy Birthday Party turned out to be with its adorable twist on a small favorite sea creature! Jess from Party Box Design went all out, using blue and pink to create an inviting and playful theme for the birthday girl.

The invitations created for this event were full of wonderful details from the elaborate arrangement of various patterns to the sand that was sprinkled on top for a beachy look.

Taking advantage of a lovely day, this party was thrown outdoors, letting the natural light emphasize the sweet color choices. One favorite feature was a fantastic refurbished hutch used to hold some goodies. Painted in white it was adorned with an adorable pink fishing net full of sparkly pink crabs that was perfect for this theme.

A DIY sign was made to add to the decor and it was brilliantly done. Painted white with pink lettering, it stood out gorgeously.

Using the back patio effectively, a sweet pink, polka-dot chair was set out for the birthday girl that even had a matching umbrella and a hat and flipflops set out waiting for little toes!

Wonderfully large tissue poms were perfectly placed to fill the area nicely, ensuring that it was decorated from top to bottom. There was even a sweet bouquet of polka-dot balloons set out to complement the theme wonderfully.

For food, of course steamed crabs were a yummy option for everyone to enjoy, as well as Crabby Ale for a fun addition. Each ale bottle even had a cute personalized label for the guests to enjoy that matched the theme perfectly. The kids got to take home neat little crabby cupcake push pops and crabby cookies and the adults all got some crabby spice, leaving no one left out.

The venue area was well-lit with natural lighting through large windows, casting an elegant glow with sheer fabric precisely placed to give the best effect. A fantastic sign with birthday girl’s name spelled out took stage front and center, hung on the wall in silver delight.

Guest tables were shockingly stunning in their sophisticated and simplified decor, offering a family style arrangement for seating that would keep everyone comfy.  The chairs had white and silver tones, and were gorgeously draped with fabric to emphasize the Princess vibe. The tables were set in white cloth, and the dishware went perfectly with a soft tone as well. Down the center of the tables adorable gift boxes were set out in silver beauty, shimmering with glitter.

Other fantastic additions to the theme included full sets of armor, stood at attention beside a fantastic work of art, displayed in pure elegance. Chandeliers added to the sparkle with lovely detailing. There was even a gorgeous bench set against the wall, colored in white and silver and accented by a sweet heart mirror directly above it.

The available treats were vast, with options ranging from yummy cupcakes to strawberries, and even cookies, each one decorated so magnificently, they just had to taste brilliant.

The cake, done by Mayus Cakes was epic in its creation. Three layers of sheer beauty topped with a crown that stood out marvelously. A mirror and a wand were precisely placed on the second layer to add adorable touches. Each layer was frosted in white and detailed immaculately.

Using Amy Butler’s K & Company paper craft line and Paper Iris Pattern to make paper flowers, Sarah brought in a DIY that looked perfect with the Vintage theme. A wild arrangement of colors and patterns were used that complemented the decor of the whole room while bringing a unique look to the tables. A wonderful Happy Birthday banner, the fantastic placements and adorable cupcake toppers were all from Amy Butler’s K & Company paper craft line as well, ensuring that the use of vibrant colors and patterns were distributed throughout the venue area.

The tea cups and saucers were a sweet blend of different styles that really emphasized the theme nicely. They were paired with truly vintage handkerchiefs that were used as napkins for a neat look.

Adorable tissue poms were made, one was actually placed in a marvelous hat box, while others were hung gorgeously from the ceiling, giving a full effect across the room.

Even the entrance to the party area was decked out with cute little balloon bouquets to welcome the visitors.

Beverages served were adorable mason jars full of pretty pink lemonade, each was wrapped with a patterned ribbon and topped with a slice of lemon.

The food table was excellently displayed with photos on the wall, offering a very personal way to showcase the sweet birthday girl. Using a white table cloth all of the sweet snacks and decor stood out brightly. There was even a fantastic vintage typewriter on display for everyone to enjoy checking out as they grabbed a sandwich and fruit.
