Mermaid Party Inspirations

Go underwater with a mermaid themed party!

Mermaid themed birthday parties are very majestic and magical at the same time. They bring joy and sparkle to the birthday party and kind of bring out a sweet side out of all things.

Decorate the place with lots of underwater stuff such as seahorses, starfish, marine life, and more. You can even add crabs if you want to. Go for light color themes – anywhere from pink to cyan to aquamarine is acceptable.

Of course, since this is a mermaid themed birthday party, who can forget the world’s most famous Little Mermaid named Ariel. You can put her on top of a cake décor for added effect.

Being a mermaid princess of sorts, we can add in elegant décor on her immediate area such as flashy goblets, treasure chests, and more. You know, those typical things found under the sea.

We should also add corals and balloons everywhere. The corals are fine if they look dull colored, because this will bring a touch of realistic effect into your birthday party. Our goal is to make the party look magical yet real at the same time. Have the balloons match the color theme of your party and you’re done!

This type of birthday party is suitable for people who like to take it slow. By having a relatively calm and serene yet magical surrounding, you can make the most out of the Little Mermaid and bring her essence into another year of your life!

Halloween Party Game Ideas for Kids

Halloween Party Game Ideas for Kids

Halloween time is the fun start to the holiday season in general, so what better way to get all the kids excited than to put together tons of fun events that include all the best Halloween party games? Choosing the best games for your little ones can be a little overwhelming with so many options out there, so check out this awesome list of some of the best of these Halloween activities below.

Monster Freeze Dance. Turn on the classic “Monster Mash” Halloween song and watch the kiddos erupt into laughter. Pause the song on random parts and have all the players freeze whenever the music stops. One by one, whoever does not freeze in time is out, and play this way until there is only one person left in the game—a.k.a., the winner!

Ghost Story. This is an age-old game full of creativity. Have the kids sit in a circle and a scary ghost story—but the catch here is that each player can only tell one part of the story at a time before the next part is passed over for the next player to create! Hilarious tangents and wild stories are always sure to ensue! Make sure you have a video recorder ready for this one!

Mummy Wrap! One of the most fun—and simplest—Halloween kid party games is the Mummy Wrap. All you need is a lot of toilet paper and a stopwatch! Break players into teams and have the kids use only the toilet paper to wrap one of their teammates up like a mummy the fastest.

Halloween Bingo. Much like its original counterpart, Halloween themed bingo is a game of concentration and high energy. Make your bingo boards full of fun art filled with pumpkins, adorable little bats, mummies, ghosts, and every other Halloween fun imagery you can think of! As for the “bingo chip markers” themselves? Why not use Halloween candies like mallocreme pumpkins?

Guess the Goo Box. From peeled grapes posing as “eyeballs”, to gooey noodles mimicking “brains”, you can have so much fun using your imagination with this game. Set up a blind station or even just a big box and fill it full of “gross” Halloween-themed items for kids to reach in, feel, and guess! You’ll have a fit of laughter yourself when hearing some of the kids’ guesses!

Guess the Halloween Candy. Going off from the Guess the Goo Box game is the same type of activity, but with well known and loved Halloween candy. Throw bunches of great candy into a big tub and have the kids close their eyes to guess whatever they grab up! Remember to keep the candy popular Halloween treats that all the kids will be familiar with, too.

Candy Corn Catch. This is definitely a perfectly-themed game for Halloween. Have teams of two hold onto a hollowed out pumpkin and a bag of candy corn. The endgame for this activity is for one player to throw the candy corn from a certain distance to make it into the empty pumpkin. Whoever gets the most candy corns in the pumpkin the fastest wins!

Halloween Scavenger Hunt. This is played exactly like how you would play any scavenger hunt game, but searching for Halloween related stuff such as something that is orange, scary etc.

Pin the Fangs. This game takes an old classic and gives it a Halloween centric twist. Post up a vampire, werewolf, or any other fanged monster poster on the wall and have blindfolded players pin the fangs on the poster. You’ll be amazed at how many fangs you’ll have pinned up on foreheads and elbows, and the kids will absolutely get a huge kick out of it.

Pumpkin Carving. This activity is one that never gets old in a traditional sense. Just as it sounds, have kids form teams and come together to create amazing pumpkins. From gutting the pumpkin to finding a design to carve, this is an activity that is memorable and can last all day!

Halloween Cornhole. You can really take this game up a notch by incorporating two activities into one: Have kids create and decorate their very own Halloween cornhole boards before they even begin to play! While the paint or décor is drying on the boards, you can schedule food time, and by the time that’s done, the boards will be ready for the kids to play Halloween cornhole with!

Regardless if you play one or all of these Halloween games, you are sure to bring lots of joy and fun to any Halloween party. And of course, make sure you don’t forget awesome prizes and grab bags for the little ones, too!

Tropical Under The Sea Adventure Party

Tropical Under The Sea Adventure Party

This Tropical Under The Sea Adventure Party was lavishly designed by EVENTee Party. Right from the entryway, the adorable sea theme was introduced in colorful style with the whole doorway decked out in seafaring colors.  Strands of shimmering fabric offered kids an elegant way to enter the massive venue area.  A fun chalkboard was gorgeously designed to welcome all the guests and there was even a fantastic sign with arrows pointing in various directions saying, “Mermaid this way.”

To properly celebrate the two wonderful kids, tunnel of balloons followed the entrance with green foam intertwined to create a sea like appearance. The floor even had a green mat rolled out for an extra fun effect. Overhead, more balloons filled the space, adding to the cute look.

Inside the room, lots of round tables filled the area for the guests to sit at along with a special set of tables at the front for the kids to sit together at.  The chairs all had lovely white covers with fabric bows that matched the theme perfectly. Each table featured an intricately designed centerpiece with fish and sea plants.  The tables also had a variety of bold colored covers with contrasting runners to add to the style boldly. Overhead, balloons and giant jellyfish gave a true under-the-sea vibe.

This party even featured a staging area for the special kids with massive letters spelling out their names across the front.  An adorable clam bench was framed with a lightup square and lovely art made the perfect backdrop for the whole area.

To make it easy for the kids to get their own food, special stations were set up for each food and beverages.  Each section was boldly advertised with a fun sign and mermaid art.  The front of each section was decorated with green tissue paper and an adorable arrangement of sea creatures.
