Fun Boys Camping Birthday Party Tablescape

Lemonberry Moon Inc

Bring the joy of the outdoors into your Camping Birthday Themed Party!  This idea makes for a perfect outdoor venue party, giving you a chance to incorporate the sweet elements of nature into your whole celebration.

Decorations

You can use trees to hang little camping decorations like a flag banner with the special child’s name so everyone can see who the party is all about. Using your camping gear as part of your decor you can set up a pup-tent, layout fishing gear, even using a small canoe or kayak as a fun piece of your look. Decorating your tables can be a breeze, if you use wooden picnic benches you can use either burlap or no cover at all, to showcase a natural style. This is also a fun theme for using picnic baskets for centerpieces, you can fill them with beautiful plant life, or delicious snacks for guests to munch on. Also, using birdhouses and feeders that have been painted bright colors will bring in an adorable touch.

Food Ideas

To feed your guests, you can use fun camping trays to hold the edibles, creating a rustic charm that goes beautifully with the theme.  Create camping favorites like s’mores will make your event feel like a mini-camping trip.  Give a twist to hotdogs, by making pigs in a blanket. Use a tackle box to hold a range of gummy worms for a cute treat. You can even bring the veggies by putting sticks in a dixie cup with some dip. For your celebration cake, you can make a unique cake by covering a sheet cake with green frosting and covering with fun details like a tent, campfire and more.  Make some cupcakes too, frosting with white and then you can top them with any fun detail, like a gummy worm, or a graham cracker and hershey chocolate bar.

Games and Activities

Have some fun with your Camping Birthday Party activities, have a scavenger hunt for a fantastic treat, encouraging all the kids to participate. You can have your guests pan for gold, letting them learn about rocks and minerals as they play, and that creates a fun gift they can keep forever. Another fantastic camping activity would be to let all of the kids decorate a birdhouse or create a foam smores using the kit below or by preparing your own.

Party Bags

There are all sorts of wonderful things you can send your happy party attendees home with that are sure to be remembered. One of my favorites is a s’more in a jar, put graham cracker pieces in the bottom of a mason jar, put some small marshmallows over it, add some chocolate chips and top with a sprinkle of oats to look cute.  Tie the jar with a pretty ribbon and add a personalized tag, finishing off the perfect gift for your guests.

Another fun idea would be to set up a “Take a hike trail mix bar” and get all of the kids to make their own mixtures to take home.  It is a wonderful personalized option for each guest to take home to eat later!

Spa girl theme birthday party

Spa girl theme birthday party

Tica Rose Events took a 10-year-old girl’s birthday and turned it into a delightful spa day! Along with the actual massages, masks, and nail pampering that took place, the decorations and food for this spa girl themed birthday party were to die for.

The main table was set up with a uniquely beautiful birthday cake with fondant nail polish and cupcake decorations, and the birthday girl’s photo was used as a cake topper. White bags filled with party favors were placed alongside the cake and glass apothecary jars were filled with candies.

Spa girl theme birthday party table setting

A longer table draped in a lavender tablecloth was set up for the girls to sit and enjoy some of the spa services. Centerpieces of deep purple flowers in pearl white vases completed the table’s look of elegance and each girl was provided with a purple hand mirror and a rolled up pink towel on a glass bowl at her place setting. A personalized water bottle for each guest added a special touch.

Other accents that completed the spa girl theme look were balloons in pink, white, and purple, and a welcoming sign to the guests framed in an exquisitely detailed mirror. Pink sea salts in jars and a rack to hold fuzzy pink robes for the girls also added a flair for femininity.

The main standout for this part by Tica Rose Events, however, was the fashion show setup! White sheers were set up in front of a rolled out red carpet for the girls to walk out of to show off their new spa day looks! This spa girl theme birthday party truly captured pampering and sophistication, all while being fun and creative at the same time!

Monster Themed Decoration

For a theme with lots of color that kids are certain to love, have a Monster Birthday Party. This theme offers you an opportunity to work some major creativity into your decorations with limitless options for delightful looks.  Bright, playful colors will make your party light hearted and sweet, letting kids enjoy the zaniness of monster creations.  You can get crazy with play dough and make little monsters to center each table in funny poses, even have them on your buffet table to keep everyone entertained. Instead of making a blended theme with the same covers on each table, bring your party a unique and bold look with wild patterns and colors that are different for each table. Have plenty of colorful balloons in the room with paper monster eye and eyes glued on them!

Incorporate surprise elements into your venue to keep the guests looking for additional fun touches, monsters underneath tables, monsters on the ceiling, on shelves, etc.  Don’t be afraid of overdoing the decorations, you can’t have too many monsters with this fun theme.  Draw monsters on balloon bouquets, hang monster photos on the wall, have cute little monster storybooks laid out to read.

Monster Themed Food Ideas

Make monster sandwiches by cutting meat and cheese triangles at one end (to look like teeth) and cut the crusts off the bread, then top with two olives for eyeballs.  Make monster fruit kabobs, by topping the stick with a googly eye!  An upside down halved green pepper with a couple long slices for legs and placed in chip dip makes a neat monster after you add googly eyes of course.  Add fake teeth to the center of donuts and upside down chocolate chips for eyes and you have monstrous treats that any kid can love. For your monster cake, create a cupcake monster, letting every kid have a piece of a fun and crazy creation.

Give your guests a fun surprise by taping a monster underneath a chair or two and giving a sensational monster gift to whomever is the lucky one/s who find them underneath their chair.  Have a monster dress-up fashion show and give a little prize to the one everyone votes on as the winner. Design a crafting station and let the kids all make their own special zany friend to take home.   You could even put together a photo booth, where the kids can have their picture taken as monsters, or with monsters!

Let the kids take home a treat to remember with gigantic monster decorated cookies wrapped in saran wrap and tied with a wonky bow.  Or you can make little monster boxes to hold silly surprises like gummy candies or monster pencils, erasers and more.

Dr Seuss Inspired Food Ideas

When it comes to foods, this is a party where you can get really creative, break out that chef-side and personalize concoctions that kids will love.  Layered jello cups offer a striped look, red jello and white jello, topped with a dollop of cool whip of course! Turn cheese sticks that are still wrapped into Cat in the Hat with a red and a black marker.  You can put the kitty face on the bottom with the bow-tie and then stripes all the way up for the hat. Cotton candy on sticks will give that crazy Thing One and Thing Two hairstyle that everyone will enjoy eating right up. For your cake, create a layered delight that is off-center, giving a lop-sided look and detail with Thing One and Thing Two, or Cat in the Hat even.

Fun Dr. Seuss activities include a Thing One and Two relay race where kids can go head to head in a battle of excitement. Set up a crazy course indoors or out and give a prize to the winner! You can have a photo booth for wild pictures to remember the party by. You could even create a guessing game table where you ask the guests to guess how many fishes are in the fishbowl game using delicious chewy Swedish Fish candy. Using the centerpieces of fishbowl you created for guest tables, add more fishes and use them for a fun team fishing game! Make sure you add a small magnet to the toy fish and a fishing rod. The team that gets all the fishes out first wins a group prize!
