Minecraft Creeper Birthday Party

This fun Minecraft Birthday Party was created by Joellyn from Sweet Soirees, who does all the work and let’s the parents relax and enjoy.

With a neat blend of lime green, black and a scattering of other colors like red and brown, the venue area was a vision of fun.  The buffet was prepared top to bottom with Minecraft ideas and excitement, ensuring that the guests would love not only tasting the goodies, but checking out the decor.

The backdrop introduced the Minecraft theme perfectly with a poster from the game so everyone would know what type of celebration this was. Set in front of a black background, it stood out brightly.

The table itself was covered in a fabulous lime green cloth that had checkers, creating a pattern without taking away from the array of details and treats. With two black liners on top of the cloth, the table itself looked like a block out of Minecraft.  For a final touch, the front of the table had an adorable banner that said, “Happy Birthday,” reminding the party goers of the special reason they were there.

The spread of treats and table decor was beautiful.  Bags were on display at the back of the table with little Minecraft faces, bringing a touch of fun. Red twizzlers were bundled up and wrapped with little labels that said T.N.T. adding a bright color.  With all the treats set on black dishes, they went smoothly with the theme while maintaining a look of sophistication. There were even black raspberries set in a glass labelled as coal!

The cake was perfectly designed, a tall circle with one of Minecraft’s favorite face, Creeper, that stood out magnificently on a giant Minecraft decorated stand. With the birthday boy’s name spelled out on the cake tray this treat was unique and vibrant.

For the Cowboy Party grub, a great wooden table was used, emphasizing the vintage quality to the party, set against worn out looking panels, the ambience was a vision of perfection for a celebration to remember. Each food was prepared thoughtfully, creating a palate any Cowboy could enjoy while on the wild frontier.  Trail Mix  was set in adorable little paper bags and labeled in a neat fashion. Apple juice boxes were wrapped up in adorable little bags with swirly straws. Cheesy grits were put in little dixie cups with a fork attached with neat plaid ribbon so the cowboys and cowgirls had their silverware. There were even donut holes, a Cowboy classic…..a modern day classic! With sticks attached, even those were mess-free for easy clean-up.  The cupcakes were luscious, chocolate covered in yummy white frosting and gold sprinkles.  Cute little bull cut-outs stood in each, ensuring they went smoothly with the theme.

There was a fun craft table set up for the guests to create their own art with crayons and foam cowboy stickers.  All kinds of activities were set-up to keep the kids happy, from a neat boot pinata to pin-the-mustache-on-the-cowboy.

For the take-home gift, loot bags were made that were screen-printed for a personal touch that was sure to impress.  This party definitely brought a fun twist to the west with cowboy decor to remember.

Mad Science Party

No kid’s birthday party is complete without a fun and exciting theme, and Eventee Party Planner did just this with a Mad Science Party. Complete with vibrant colors, creative food, and even an educational flair, this party was big, bold, and put a smile on all the little guests’ faces.

Mad Science Party ideas

The venue was a big one, complete with several tables for the guests and a stage up front with the birthday boy’s name strung up in huge fluorescent letters. Balloons in bright colors of yellow, blue, orange, and green were cascading from the high, bunched tented fabric ceiling, while the stage itself was surrounded by food and fun, mad science theme tables.

The main food table was actually on the stage and it boasted an actual chalkboard as a backdrop, with well-known complex formulas chalked haphazardly across it. Different sized beakers and test tubes were placed variously on the table and were filled with treats and colorful liquids. Science books and molecule models added extra unique decoration and even yellow tape with radioactive symbols were lined inventively like streamers all over the table and walls. But perhaps the best part of the main table was the birthday cake! Going along with the central mad science theme, the round cake had an orange base layer, with the birthday boy of the day’s name blocked out in three replicas of the periodic table on the front. An amazing fondant top layer of the cake was an actual figure of a smiling boy scientist, right behind the big “1” candle. The details in the birthday cake were absolutely unbelievable and really tied the entire party together perfectly.

More food and drinks were on another smaller table nearby, with big apothecary glass jars full of snacks like cheese puffs, gummy worms, gumballs, and yummy chocolate covered pretzels. Fun cupcakes with mad science images in the frosting such as pink brains, beakers, and books. The attention to detail with all aspects of this party truly made it an event to remember—and would certainly make any little mad scientist proud.

Star Wars Lego Birthday Party

Amanda from Amanda’s Parties To Go went all out on her son’s Star Wars themed extravaganza, creating detailed decor that was unique and fantastic. For personalized invites she created a brick framed beauty to let everyone know that not only was this a Star Wars party, it was a Star Wars Lego party.

Star Wars Lego Birthday Party

The tablescape was immaculate from the top to bottom with bold colors and fun touches that blended the theme perfectly into the food. Using a blue and silver star printed fabric, the base of the table was fantastic and didn’t take away from any of the fun decor on top. Each treat was named after a fun Star Wars item, like the Yoda Soda that was lime sherbet and Sprite mixed together.  Each one was labelled, so the guests could enjoy the creative little snack titles.  One unique detail that made this table different than others was the use of candle holds as food stands, providing depth and layering in a sophisticated manner.

For the beverage cups, clear plastic ones were brushed with corn syrup and dipped in green pop rocks candy, adding a Sci-fi touch that was certain to impress. The straws were even glow-in-the-dark for a neat way to drink up.

The awesome light saber decorations were DIY’d by Amanda, toys that were painted with that brilliant silver/blue/green paint, then fastened to a wood plaque and painted silver with fun styrofoam embellishments added.  The she surrounded them in tinsel stars for a complete effect.

The cake was superb, a vision of Star Wars Lego perfection that took three days to assemble! It was covered in delicious buttercream frosting that everyone was sure to enjoy eating up. The detailing was wonderful, little figures and the birthday boy’s name surrounded by stars, really making an elite centerpiece for the entire event.

Army Camo Themed Birthday Party

When Heather’s son wanted his birthday party at a laser tag venue, she came up with this unique Army Camo Theme to celebrate in style.

She used a fantastic sign with a giant tank in green and black to let everyone know what the celebration was all about and even bordered it in a cool layered pattern and attached ribbon to hang it up.

favor party bags labeled mission complete

For the guest tables, she covered them in a smooth mauve color that allowed the lime green layer on top to stand out remarkably well.  For the center pieces she created a neat sign numbering each table and labelling them “Platoons” for an added camo effect. The signs were placed in lovely vases full of bright colors that blended well with the theme colors.  Each place setting had easy to use and toss green paper plates and camo cups for the kids to utilize. She even folded the napkins and wrapped them in a neat little holder.

One of the creative decorations that she used to add detail to the venue area was a flag banner that had a variety of camo patterns and colors that was draped up and attached with dark ribbon.

A dessert table was set-up with camo-mix for everyone to enjoy that was fantastically draped in camo cloth.  Using giant letters, SIX was spelled out so everyone would know how old the birthday boy was. Directly behind the six was the delicious cake.  It was a two-layer expression of love in Camo colored frosting and had a fun scattering of plastic army men displayed to add to the theme brilliantly. The cake was even topped with a play grenade, making it one-of-a-kind.

Yummy cake pops were made in camo colors to look like little grenades, there were even a variety of sweet candies for the guests to try out.
