This Calvin and Hobbes Birthday Party brought together a favorite from the world of comics and an array of fun treats to create an exciting celebration for a special kid. The Perfect Linen Touch used a lot of adorable DIY ideas to give the venue a unique and enjoyable look.

The treats were set up in a modern fashion with a large table and a bench in front of it to give a layered look and small tables on each side as well. This arrangement gave a vintage look while providing a lot of space to spread all of the treats out.

A fantastic backdrop of greenery was used to set the scene and all sorts of adorable Calvin and Hobbes art was framed and hung on the backdrop, ensuring that the theme was easy to identify.

A favorite treat made for the party were waffle balls, which went into tasty waffle cones that had a special rack for easy display and access. Beside those fun snacks massive chocolate dipped marshmallows stood on tall sticks. Cake pops were frosted in yellow with chocolate stripes for a cute, Calvin and Hobbes look. They were put into galosh vases, giving a fantastic option for holding. Each of the snacks was adorably advertised on mini chalkboards with Calvin and Hobbes handwriting.

Pringles were offered in canisters with comics, gummy worms made an appearance standing up in square holders and there were even cheetos and cupcakes to enjoy.

The cake was layers of sweetness in white and chocolate frosting, making it a delicious centerpiece on the tables. Numbers stood tall in the cake, displaying the special birthday boy’s age.  A pail with a little green plant stood in front of the cake, adding a natural touch to the decor.

This Modern Nautical Birthday Party can have you setting sail for excitement with all sorts of seashore fun.  The skill of Bash by Ling was displayed throughout the beautiful decor of this event.

Using blue and white as the theme tones, a classic look was created with stripes throughout the venue.  A massive welcome sign was displayed on a lovely easel, so guests would know they were in the right spot for fun.

The indoor party area was well lit with lots of natural sunlight coming in the large windows.  A big table was set up buffet style for everyone to pick up treats. A layering of cloth including a striped one made for a lovely base.  A banner of blue and white with anchor art advertised the birthday boy splendidly.  Fish netting was also used to give a sealike effect to the decor.  Crates were expertly used for creating dimension on the table, letting each detail stand out admirably.  Shells and flowers made cute fillers for the table in between the tasty treats.  The backdrop to the table was a gorgeous pastel colored board that advertised the birthday beautifully.  To each side a tower of balloons made a sweet border.

Sugar cookies frosted with anchors sat up front for the guests to enjoy.  Macarons were made to look like clams with pearls, adding a creative touch.  Lollipops were decked out with little flags. Decadent cupcakes were frosted to perfection, blending with the theme in sailing fashion.  The centerpiece to the table was a two layered cake that was smoothly decorated with stripes, anchors and the birthday boy’s name as well.  It had an adorable sailboat as a topper.

The guest seating was set up at round tables to make for easy conversation and each place had a lovely menu so everyone would know precisely what was being offered.

Party Sprinkles stole the show with their wicked skill at this Flashy Neon Paint Party!  Designed for a very special 10 year old, vibrant colors and innovative ideas made this birthday celebration one of a kind.

The printables for the party were absolutely stunning with an array of bright colors printed out in fun ways.  The invitations advertised the art theme with perfection, showcasing a splash painted border surrounding a paint brush and artist pallet.  They are even made with an optional back design in bright stripes. Other adorable printables at this party included framed art advertising the beverage station and the buffet area, all made to match the invites beautifully.

The dessert table was a vision with all of the fluorescent tones in a wild arrangement. A lovely birthday flag banner was hung in the background over a window. It had flags in different colors with splashes of paint art that drew the eye. The cake looked as delicious as it did fun with a base of white and drips of neon tones going down the sides.  It had a cute artist pallet and art board with a paintbrush for the top that made a perfect centerpiece for the board. There were also some tasty looking cupcakes with a tie dyed look on the frosting that stood out.  Cake pops stood beside the cake in varying tones as well, making a sweet accent on the table. There was even a jar of candies for everyone to enjoy.

A section of the table was set aside for the cute beverage station that allowed everyone to create their own tasty drinks to enjoy.  Each bottle had bright swirly straw with a striped banner attached to it too.  Beside the drinks, thank you boxes held sweet surprises for the guests, each tied with bright ribbons.
