Decorations

You can use trees to hang little camping decorations like a flag banner with the special child’s name so everyone can see who the party is all about. Using your camping gear as part of your decor you can set up a pup-tent, layout fishing gear, even using a small canoe or kayak as a fun piece of your look. Decorating your tables can be a breeze, if you use wooden picnic benches you can use either burlap or no cover at all, to showcase a natural style. This is also a fun theme for using picnic baskets for centerpieces, you can fill them with beautiful plant life, or delicious snacks for guests to munch on. Also, using birdhouses and feeders that have been painted bright colors will bring in an adorable touch.

Food Ideas

To feed your guests, you can use fun camping trays to hold the edibles, creating a rustic charm that goes beautifully with the theme.  Create camping favorites like s’mores will make your event feel like a mini-camping trip.  Give a twist to hotdogs, by making pigs in a blanket. Use a tackle box to hold a range of gummy worms for a cute treat. You can even bring the veggies by putting sticks in a dixie cup with some dip. For your celebration cake, you can make a unique cake by covering a sheet cake with green frosting and covering with fun details like a tent, campfire and more.  Make some cupcakes too, frosting with white and then you can top them with any fun detail, like a gummy worm, or a graham cracker and hershey chocolate bar.

Games and Activities

Have some fun with your Camping Birthday Party activities, have a scavenger hunt for a fantastic treat, encouraging all the kids to participate. You can have your guests pan for gold, letting them learn about rocks and minerals as they play, and that creates a fun gift they can keep forever. Another fantastic camping activity would be to let all of the kids decorate a birdhouse or create a foam smores using the kit below or by preparing your own.

Party Bags

There are all sorts of wonderful things you can send your happy party attendees home with that are sure to be remembered. One of my favorites is a s’more in a jar, put graham cracker pieces in the bottom of a mason jar, put some small marshmallows over it, add some chocolate chips and top with a sprinkle of oats to look cute.  Tie the jar with a pretty ribbon and add a personalized tag, finishing off the perfect gift for your guests.

Another fun idea would be to set up a “Take a hike trail mix bar” and get all of the kids to make their own mixtures to take home.  It is a wonderful personalized option for each guest to take home to eat later!

Party Decorations

When decorating your event area for a Superman (Supergirl) theme, it is always fun to add comic phrases to your different looks like “Pow!” and “Blam!” to bring a little life to it all.  There is no such thing as too much when it comes to a hero party, the more action packed fun you have the better.  Use bunches of balloons to fill the “skyline” with fun, you can even draw the Superman Logo on some of them to personalize the style.  Hang up posters from the comic books around your room, you could even make frames for them to really bring your look together.  If you use white tablecloths, all of the different plates and silverware that you use will really stand out brightly.  For birthday centerpieces you can mix a little elegance with action by putting smooth rocks in jars and have sticks with the comic phrases on them sticking out in a bouquet-like fashion.

Food and Snack Ideas

To create food that even Superman would love you have to think like a hero!  Keep your hero guests strong with snack foods like mini-deli sandwiches, and hotdogs.  Having a veggie and fruit tray brings color to the table and offers a healthy touch that is sure to be enjoyed.  Use some blue wraps to create little holders for popcorn and then label them with the Superman logo. You can make some “kryptonite” by color rock candy green.  Use trays and dishes that match your theme so there is a lot of color incorporated into your food. Decorate your blue paper cups with logos and little red handmade cloth or paper cape.

Games & Activities

To give the party goers some super fun, have them get into teams and have a competition to see who can be the strongest Superman.  You have the designated member of the group put on adult clothing, and then the team works together to put as many balloons as they can into their clothing.  Get creative and set-up a craft station for all of the kids to make their own superhero logo to take home.

To show thanks for everyone who comes to the special Superman Birthday Party, send them home with their own Superman comic book to start their own collection.  Or you can give them all a Superman cape to dress-up anytime they want to.

Monster Themed Decoration

For a theme with lots of color that kids are certain to love, have a Monster Birthday Party. This theme offers you an opportunity to work some major creativity into your decorations with limitless options for delightful looks.  Bright, playful colors will make your party light hearted and sweet, letting kids enjoy the zaniness of monster creations.  You can get crazy with play dough and make little monsters to center each table in funny poses, even have them on your buffet table to keep everyone entertained. Instead of making a blended theme with the same covers on each table, bring your party a unique and bold look with wild patterns and colors that are different for each table. Have plenty of colorful balloons in the room with paper monster eye and eyes glued on them!

Incorporate surprise elements into your venue to keep the guests looking for additional fun touches, monsters underneath tables, monsters on the ceiling, on shelves, etc.  Don’t be afraid of overdoing the decorations, you can’t have too many monsters with this fun theme.  Draw monsters on balloon bouquets, hang monster photos on the wall, have cute little monster storybooks laid out to read.

Monster Themed Food Ideas

Make monster sandwiches by cutting meat and cheese triangles at one end (to look like teeth) and cut the crusts off the bread, then top with two olives for eyeballs.  Make monster fruit kabobs, by topping the stick with a googly eye!  An upside down halved green pepper with a couple long slices for legs and placed in chip dip makes a neat monster after you add googly eyes of course.  Add fake teeth to the center of donuts and upside down chocolate chips for eyes and you have monstrous treats that any kid can love. For your monster cake, create a cupcake monster, letting every kid have a piece of a fun and crazy creation.

Give your guests a fun surprise by taping a monster underneath a chair or two and giving a sensational monster gift to whomever is the lucky one/s who find them underneath their chair.  Have a monster dress-up fashion show and give a little prize to the one everyone votes on as the winner. Design a crafting station and let the kids all make their own special zany friend to take home.   You could even put together a photo booth, where the kids can have their picture taken as monsters, or with monsters!

Let the kids take home a treat to remember with gigantic monster decorated cookies wrapped in saran wrap and tied with a wonky bow.  Or you can make little monster boxes to hold silly surprises like gummy candies or monster pencils, erasers and more.

Bring your child a day of hero action with a Ninja Turtle Birthday Party.  With a whole group of vigilantes to decorate with, your child can celebrate their special day saving the city from shenanigans!

You can bring this birthday party a blast of fun with all kinds of green and brown color and Ninja Turtle accessories that will stand out fantastically.  Turn a balloon bouquet into a Ninja Turtle crowd by drawing masks on them or tying scarves on them, then you can use them as centerpieces or as a decoration anywhere in your venue area. Take advantage of your child’s collection of Ninja Turtle toys and set-up fun action scenes on tables for everyone to check out. If you have round, pop-up tunnels, you can decorate those to look like the sewer tunnels, giving a 3-D decoration that kids could actually play with.

The most important food to have at a Ninja Turtle party is definitely pizza.  You can personalize your pizza by making it at home, or you can make it a part of kids’ activity to make their own pizza with all the ingredients prepared so that all they need to really do is add all their favorite toppings.  Of course, another option is to order out, either way, the kids are sure to love it! Along with you wonderful pizza entree, you can make all kinds of fun treats that will go nicely with the theme.  Place fun jars of a variety of green candies, like gummy bears, gumballs, laffy taffy out and then put construction paper masks on them to look like your child’s favorite classic characters.  Name your foods after Ninja Turtle favorite phrases for a fun twist and place labels out so everyone knows what is available. You could even make ooze with green jello in clear dixie cups! For your Ninja Turtle celebration cake, a large cake can be decorated to look like your child’s very favorite one, or you can have the whole gang together in style.

Ninja Turtle Birthday Party Ideas party sets

To keep your guests happy and involved you can start your party out by having everyone guess how many candies – gumballs you have in a jar and then at the end of the party whoever guessed closest gets a prize! One fun party activity would be giving everyone a sheet of stickers when they first come and having them get rid of all of them by putting them on other guests secretly and whoever gets rid of all their stickers first wins. Another fun idea would be to set up a race for the kids to use chopsticks to move a marble from one bowl to another as fast as they can.

Pirate Party Invitations

Pirate Party Decorations

A Pirate Theme can be great with either an outdoor or indoor venue area, using natural elements like sticks and wood, you can have a rustic style that will charm. For colors a good mix would be blue and black or red and black, allowing an accent that is bold and fun. Using barrels you can make seats for your little pirates to sit at, if you have tall tables the whole barrel or just half for smaller tables. Line your guest tables with striped cloths for a pirate effect. This would be a great theme for hanging up old maps, laying out atlas’ that you have available and spreading out lots of flags. If you have some vintage storage chests, you can fill them up with costume jewelry and fake golden coins to create treasures fit for a pirate.

Pirate Party Food

There are a lot of different pirate treats that you can make for your guests to enjoy.  Rice krispy treats, cake pops and mini-cupcakes all offer a perfect size for placing little sticks in with ship flags on them to blend your food nicely with the theme.  Grilled chicken legs make a messy and fun pirate food that is also a good filler. Hot dogs, pizza and even meatloaf can also make tasty foods.  You can make a special jewel punch as a fun beverage at the party too. The night before your event just freeze up some different colors of ice cubes to place in your punch bowl and voila, a drinkable treasure trove!

Pirate Party Games

No Pirate Party would be complete without a plank walk- you can set-up a two by four wooden board for children to walk across and have them leap into a pile of blue pillows (water).  You can even make it more challenging by blindfolding the victims so it is tougher to stay on the board.  Another fun pirate adventure is the treasure hunt! Make a map for the children to decipher and see which pirate can get to the X (have a small chest will little pirate gifts waiting) first!
