Monster Themed Decoration

For a theme with lots of color that kids are certain to love, have a Monster Birthday Party. This theme offers you an opportunity to work some major creativity into your decorations with limitless options for delightful looks.  Bright, playful colors will make your party light hearted and sweet, letting kids enjoy the zaniness of monster creations.  You can get crazy with play dough and make little monsters to center each table in funny poses, even have them on your buffet table to keep everyone entertained. Instead of making a blended theme with the same covers on each table, bring your party a unique and bold look with wild patterns and colors that are different for each table. Have plenty of colorful balloons in the room with paper monster eye and eyes glued on them!

Incorporate surprise elements into your venue to keep the guests looking for additional fun touches, monsters underneath tables, monsters on the ceiling, on shelves, etc.  Don’t be afraid of overdoing the decorations, you can’t have too many monsters with this fun theme.  Draw monsters on balloon bouquets, hang monster photos on the wall, have cute little monster storybooks laid out to read.

Make monster sandwiches by cutting meat and cheese triangles at one end (to look like teeth) and cut the crusts off the bread, then top with two olives for eyeballs.  Make monster fruit kabobs, by topping the stick with a googly eye!  An upside down halved green pepper with a couple long slices for legs and placed in chip dip makes a neat monster after you add googly eyes of course.  Add fake teeth to the center of donuts and upside down chocolate chips for eyes and you have monstrous treats that any kid can love. For your monster cake, create a cupcake monster, letting every kid have a piece of a fun and crazy creation.

Give your guests a fun surprise by taping a monster underneath a chair or two and giving a sensational monster gift to whomever is the lucky one/s who find them underneath their chair.  Have a monster dress-up fashion show and give a little prize to the one everyone votes on as the winner. Design a crafting station and let the kids all make their own special zany friend to take home.   You could even put together a photo booth, where the kids can have their picture taken as monsters, or with monsters!

Let the kids take home a treat to remember with gigantic monster decorated cookies wrapped in saran wrap and tied with a wonky bow.  Or you can make little monster boxes to hold silly surprises like gummy candies or monster pencils, erasers and more.

Turn cheese sticks that are still wrapped into Cat in the Hat with a red and a black marker.  You can put the kitty face on the bottom with the bow-tie and then stripes all the way up for the hat. Cotton candy on sticks will give that crazy Thing One and Thing Two hairstyle that everyone will enjoy eating right up. The Batman logo is such a breeze to make, you can easily DIY a lot of the little effects at your child’s party, personalizing it to them in a unique way.  If you have a large venue area and some pop-up tents, you can create a miniature Gotham City for the kids to play in, poster board can be crafted around the tents with the city drawn on them. You could also put the poster board building artwork on the walls, making the room look like it is inside Gotham City.  Use the dark colors for your table cloths to create a darker imagery.  Bundles of balloons can fill the room up too, giving it a cozy feeling.

For fun foods that blend well with a Batman theme, try raisins on a peanut butter and celery log, you can call them Bats on a Log!  If you have a Batman logo jello mold you can make fun jello treats. Of course finger foods are best for your superhero to keep his Batman ensemble from getting dirty! Pigs in a Blanket, mini-deli sandwiches and a fruit and veggie tray all work well and you can come up with epic names for each that showcase your Batman theme splendidly.  Turn a two-tiered round cake into a Batman silhouette for a memorable dessert option.  You could also create a sheet cake with Gotham City and include some of Batman’s other pals like Robin.

For some action-packed Batman excitement, have your guests all wear fun capes and set up a picture of your child’s favorite villain. Then, give out silly string and let everyone save the day! Although a bit messy, it is sure to be a win. Another great activity is to have a Batman pinata and have everyone take turns swinging for the delicious treats inside.

Bling Princess First Birthday Party

Bling Princess First Birthday Party by Events by Nat

A daughter’s first birthday is a huge deal for parents and what better way to celebrate this milestone than a fun, themed birthday party? This is just what Events by Nat did with her wonderful motif of “Bling Princess First Birthday Party”, and it was full of pretty décor and shining accessories fit for a princess!

Bling Princess First Birthday Party

Presentation and food are the most important facets of any party, and for the Bling Princess party, there was no exception. The main color for decorations was a pale pink, and it was incorporated in tons of ways. Pretty pale pink tulle was used for table skirt for the food and cake serving tables. Pale pink color was also used in the birthday cake, cupcakes, candies, and other accents such as chair bows, flowers, balloons, and cupcake wrappers.

When it came time for the yummy treats, Events by Nat really went all out! A blinged silver number “1” was the topper for the birthday cake, while apothecary jars were perfect to hold pink candies. Silver shiny crowns were plopped on top of the jars as well! Magic wand star stirrers for drinks added to the theme beautifully, while tiara-shaped sugar cookies and jewel-sticked cake pops were an amazing sight to the guests’ eyes!

A pink sign with letters in silver glitter paint proclaiming “Happy Birthday!” to the little princess honoree made the entire party theme pop. Party favors of white and pink wrapped personalized candy bars with jeweled stickers gave the birthday party guests a feeling of pampered royalty. Last minute final touches that completed the Bling Princess motif were a white picture frame with a sign thanking the guests, pink goodie bags for the guests to gather in treats, and most importantly, serving trays and platters in colors of white and silver. Events by Nat truly made Bling Princess first birthday party a memorable one!
