Candy Shop Themed Birthday Party

Who wouldn’t want a candy shop themed birthday party that features all the awesome candy from an old-fashioned candy shop? Lima Limao did an amazing job creating a dream come true candy shop party for a very lucky birthday girl. As the main centerpiece, the cake sits surrounded by all the goodies you can find in a candy shop. This gorgeous cake features a candy shop replica as the top layer.  The tall second tier features suckers and candies wrapped in blue, pink, and yellow wrappers and tied with black string licorice.

Delicate vases of baby’s breath and purple and white flowers guard the cake and added a touch of old-fashioned charm. In front of the cake, is pastel decorated cake pops and around the cake itself are bright pink and yellow cupcake holders taking care of chocolate candies sprinkled with more chocolate.

Cupcakes topped with yellow and white swirled suckers surround the cake and dance around the table. I love those awesome huge suckers that shine in candy shop windows! Pink, yellow and white huge suckers hang above the cake. Clara’s Candy Shop popcorn envelopes rest in a pink and white polka-dotted box and more cupcakes and cake pops decorate the table.

Jars of blue and green candies and colorful smiley suckers rest in jars around the table and cups of cotton candy vie for space as a centerpiece. The table features flowers that are essential parts of a candy shop. Delicate baby’s breath vie with white and purple flowers in eclectic vases. Everything comes together beautifully to create a real candy shop atmosphere.

Balloons hover over the candy table where cupcakes decorated with more frosting-lollipops huddle in white paper cups set atop pastel bases. Clara is indeed a lucky girl. Listed on top of containers holding is the announcement, Clara’s Candy Shop.

Jars of peppermints dance with delicate flowers and cupcakes and chocolate balls display quite prettily on their pedestals. One of my favorite features of this party is Clara’s Candy Shop kiosk. There are adorable party boxes waiting to be picked up!

The food table features balloons in pink and white, and the table features a delicate cutwork tablecloth. On this table, you will find cream puffs, cookies, cheese, and fruits plus muffins decorated with sprigs of greenery.

Supergirl Birthday Party in Pink & Blue

Supergirl Birthday Party in Pink & Blue by Petite Productions

Pink supergirl birthday party

Not all little girls are only in love with princess and ballerinas, and for such personalities, a special and creatively themed birthday party is in order. Event stylist Sophia of Petite Productions put on an event that did just this—a Supergirl birthday party theme! This interesting and extremely fun birthday party theme was kept in colors of blue and pink, and came together to make a vibrantly beautiful event.

The entire event space was set up in these two fantastic contrasting colors, with the Supergirl logo at every turn. The long eating tables for the guests were donned in white tablecloths with blue runners and pink napkins with the Supergirl logo wrapped around them. Centerpieces of pink flowers in white vases lined the tables, offering a beautiful compliment to the blue runners. The main cake table sat at the front of the room and it was seriously breathtaking. The cake was a white, three-tiered masterpiece with imagery of Metropolis on the bottom tier, the pink Supergirl logo front and center on the middle tier, and fading pink dots on the top tier. The cake was surrounded by platters of blue and pink cupcakes, cake pops, in the shape and frosting design of the Supergirl logo, and huge apothecary jars filled to the brim with pink and blue candies. Pink tulips added an extra flair of theme to the main table alongside pink rock candy again in the Supergirl logo design. A sign pronounced these were “Pink Kryptonite Candy” and another sign paid homage to the birthday girl herself, calling her “Super Sydnie! Our Girl of Steel Is Five!”

To top off the enormous creativity this event held, was an ice cream station dubbed the “Super Sno Bar”, and it had a variety of flavors in Supergirl themed titles for the guests.

Dinosaur Birthday Party Ideas

Little Dino 1st Birthday Party

Create some prehistoric mayhem with a Dinosaur Party that your child will cherish forever! Using a jurassic idea, you can create a venue outdoors for a very natural effect.  If you cannot have the event outside, you can bring some plastic plants indoors and hang gigantic leaves of paper stock to make a wild outdoorsy look.

Make each guest table a dangerous excursion of dinosaur delight with a mini-prehistoric centerpiece at each one.  Use small plants with long leaves to cover the dinosaurs that you place around to make it look like they are hiding in the bushes! For the base colors of your tables use dark brown covers so the green from all the natural elements and shine fantastically.  For a fun and secretive decoration, place a couple of crates around the room with DANGER tags place on them.  Inside you could actually have some sort of stuffed dinosaur as a prize for the winners of your activities during the party. You can use different green shades of crepe paper for a 3D effect on your back drop for your food table by cutting it into long strips, wrapping the top around some yarn and then draping it across your wall like a banner.

Dinosaur Birthday Decorations and games activities

AmandasPartiesToGo

You can really get creative with your Dinosaur dishes, one favorite is to make a Tyrannosaurus with a watermelon, toothpicks for teeth and inside his mouth you can place lots of little fruit bites for the kids to chomp on.  Make little “bones” from pretzels to add a bit of archeological fun. Little nests with candy eggs are sure to have your guests ready for more treats.  You can make dino-cookies and all kinds of other dino-shaped delicacies for an exciting buffet. Make a dangerously delicious cake with a giant dinosaur coming out of the top in a crazy fun way.

Some unique activities that kids will love include making your own dinosaur dig.  You can put little plastic dino’s into balloons, then fill them with water and freeze the night before the party. Then peel the balloon off the dino-ice cubes and let the guests hammer into the ice – with safety goggles of course- to excavate their prize. Have a hot lava tug-of-war by placing a red towel in the center and have each team on the sides to pull the other team onto it.

You can send your little party goers home with plastic eggs filled with surprise goodies to enjoy when they get home.  You could also make delicious dirt cups with little dinosaurs on top for a treat to remember!

Mermaid Party Decorations – Food – Favors

For a magical theme that any little girl can adore, throw her a special Mermaid Birthday Party.  With a variety of under-the-sea venue decorations, your party can be one for the books.

Using a variety of colors for your theme, blue for the base of course and then vibrant other choices like orange, green and yellow for your contrasting tones, your party room will pop with excitement.  This is a fun theme for using all the tulle you can find.  Blue tool around your tables that drapes the floor gives an underwater effect that is sure to impress. You can also take advantage of your sunny windows by draping blue, sheer fabric in front of them so it gives a blue hue to the whole room.

Use balloons to fill up the spaces, you could even make little balloon creatures like an Octopus for a fun touch. For a unique centerpiece idea, you could put a beta fish in a cute bowl out, surrounded with moss (outside of the bowl) and then add some fun little miniature sea creatures to the moss. Then as you have your party activities you could give the fish away as the prize for winning competitions.

For some crazy sea food adventures, make an octopus from a pepper and set him in dip for the kids to enjoy checking out. Turn regular crescent rolls into little crabs by adding green bean legs, little olive eyes and strawberry claws. Have blue punch for a beverage choice, you could add a blast of fun by freezing red Kool-aid in sea creature cubes to make the punch look more undersea-riffic. Make some oyster sandwiches with vanilla wafers, marshmallow creme, and cake pops. Have an Mermaid tower of a cake with three tiers topped with your child’s favorite little Mermaid.  You can decorate it like the ocean with other little creatures and seaweed effects as well.

Some fun Mermaid Birthday activities include making your own shell jewelry, that gives each guest a personal way to remember the special day. Have a pinata shaped like a sea creature to attack for delicious candies or other little prizes. If you have a little wading pool you could also set up a bubble party game with a hoop to see how high you can get a bubble up around each child.
