Ice Cream Shoppe Party

Ice-Cream-Shoppe-Party-Banner

When it came to her little one’s first birthday party, mom and photographer Meegan Weaver wanted to make her child’s event one of a kind.  Because she loves ice cream so much it only made sense to throw and Ice Cream Shoppe Party to celebrate the special day.

Taking advantage of Pinterest and all sorts of DIY projects, this party had an innovative look that made it stand out.  A massive banner was made from strips of adorably patterned fabric with the birthday girl’s name spelled out on burlap flags.  A fantastic vintage style desk was used to display the ice cream treats, adding to the charm of the party while giving a unique buffet placement.  A strand of doilies adorned the front of the table in sweet fashion.  All of the snacks were specially designed to blend with the Ice Cream theme perfectly.  Tasty looking cake pop cones were beautifully decorated smooshed upside down and even had sprinkles on them.  Sugar cookies were shaped into cones and frosted in bright pink, blue and white colors to make them look like double scoop delights. Those were set on a vintage styled white tray that added to the old-school charm of this party.  A delicious looking cake stood in the center on a lovely pink cake tray, drawing the eye with its vibrant teal frosting.  It was wonderfully decorated with a cone appearing to be smashed right into the side of the cake, creating a fantastic effect.

No Ice Cream Shoppe party is complete without a stand and real ice cream though and the table had all the fixin’s waiting for the kids to create their own sweet treat. A stand was set outside in the yard so everyone could play ice cream time too, making a fantastic photo op stop as well!

Ballerinas And Bows Birthday Party

Ballerinas-And-Bows-Birthday-Party-Cake

This Ballerinas And Bows Birthday Party was absolutely perfect for a little 4 year old! Using a classic design with pink for the theme color, it was clear that this was a lovely dancing event.   Ajz Delightful Events used their fantastic skills to give this party a unique vibe.

To make the buffet table really draw attention, a large, gray swatch of fabric was hung along a wall, making a neutral base to allow the pink of the theme to really pop. The table was absolute elegance in a sweet pink color with matching decor.  Around the front of the table tulle was used to create a tutu effect that was quite adorable.  A backdrop was created with layers of pink fabric hung to look like curtains and adorned with a sweet flower at the top.  On top of the table a pink cover was used to display all of the treats in perfection.  As a centerpiece at the very back a pink silhouette of a ballerina was framed in a fantastic vintage style frame. Another fun bit of art was a framed picture with all sorts of fun phrases written on it. To each side of the table tall vases were filled with pink and then topped with white bouquets of sweet, little white flowers.

The snacks made for this event were quite tasty looking.  Ballet slippers were made from sugar cookies and even had little bows on them.  Cupcakes were topped with little leotards and rice krispy treats were dunked in pink and tied with bow too.  There were even little bottles of fairy dust for the kids to enjoy. The center to the table was quite a vision though, a three layered cake wrapped in tulle a the bottom and displayed slippers on the top.  The middle layer even had a quilted pattern on it.

Sweet Floral 1st Birthday Party

A first birthday party is a milestone in a child’s—and parent’s life—so what better way to celebrate than with a sweet, themed event? Simply Sera Events, photographed by Alissa Noelle Photography put together an incredible first birthday party in the motif of lovely floral design with a clean, shabby chic flair. Simplicity mixed with a crisp palate of colors really made this event something truly special and unforgettable.

While the décor was simple, attention to detail was absolutely perfection. Treats were aplenty, with dozens of delectable doughnuts stacked high on gleaming white and crystal pink serving towers. Menus for food were in ash gray frames, with a pretty gold font used throughout for all the signage at the party. White linen tablecloths and corresponding centerpieces of pastel-hued florals arranged in brass vases were a posh pop amongst all the delicious food and drink. The cake table itself was an old, repurposed ivory dresser, and behind it was the perfect backdrop of a shiplap wall. Gold and white roping and miniature wooden pallets made for great serving and accenting décor pieces, while small glass jars in different shapes were fantastic subtle additions for singular bright colored poppy flowers. Wall hangings adorned with simplistic greenery quoted in cursive gold letters sayings like, “With grace in your heart and flowers in your hair” were really spectacular in adding an overall whimsical feeling to the event, too.

Rustic silver pots with little bouquets of flowers were carefully pinned up along the back wall of a serving table, and an activity in which guests got to participate in creating flower crowns was a wonderful and unique idea that served both as something memorable and as a takeaway favor from the party. All in all, this event was streamlined into a crisp melody of colors and aesthetics, which made for a happy, bright atmosphere to celebrate.

Festive Fall Party

Autumn is the season for warmth and coziness, good food and crackling fun, and plenty of time well spent with family and friends. The Everyday Hostess recently achieved all this and more magic with her Festive Fall Party. Between burlap, hay bales, and pumpkins in orange, white, and gold, this event was beautiful and fully in the spirit of the fall season.

Of course, a huge punch container held delicious apple cider, and was surrounded by delightful caprese kabobs, delectable cupcakes in the seasonal theme, and creative grilled cheese and tomato soup shooters! The food table was set off by a soft burlap table runner and gorgeous, full centerpieces of flowers in yellows, magentas, and rich reds. There was a fantastic “potting station” in which guests got to use a hollowed out pumpkin and make their very own centerpieces with the gorgeous array of flowers, too. There was even a special, small-town twist on the décor, with napkins that read “Give Thanks, Y’all”, which paired perfectly with the adorable striped straws and other garland that excitedly greeted “Happy Fall!”

With decorations that were clean, crisp, and incredibly inviting, this Festive Fall Party was truly memorable in its look and feel. The space itself was cozy enough to bring everyone together to eat, laugh, craft, and truly celebrate the best season of the year.

Copper, Plaid and Fur Thanksgiving party

Copper, Plaid and Fur Thanksgiving party

Natalie of Fern & Maple Events put together a unique and fabulous party to welcome in the autumn holiday. Using copper, plaid, and fur specifically, a beautiful and one-of-a-kind aesthetic was created that really made this Thanksgiving soiree pop.

The food for the party was as delectable as you could imagine; from tarts to pumpkin pie to fun moonshine cocktails. The favors for guests were especially impressive, containing beautifully wrapped pumpkin loaves. And cocktails weren’t the only fun beverage at the event—a delicious hot chocolate bar was also set up with all the fixings you could imagine. The spread was set off with tartan tablecloths that paired perfectly with copper shakers, servingware, and even Moscow mule mugs. Gorgeousness was mixed with seasonal warmth in the form of soft, dark fur runners and chair throws.

The place settings and food labels themselves were a great design of plaid and visions of fall foliage, pairing splendidly with dinner spots decked out with crystal glassware, rustic copper candle holders, and sprigs of babies breath flowers and fresh rosemary tufts. A children’s table was all set up, complete with utensils, plates, lidded cups with straws, and goody bags. There were even placemats that also doubled as games for the children to play with their provided crayons and pencils!

Further accents for tables and other parts of the event space included shiny pumpkins, glittery pine cones, tiny acorns, copper feathers, and a gigantic, triangular hanging decoration crafted in shining metallic copper pieces. Garlands spelling out “Give Thanks” along with gold, copper, and ivory tassels really set off the color palate for the party. Recipe cards with s’mores recipes and a mirror with markers was set up for guests to write what they were most thankful for, really tying together the seasonal theme.
