What a blast of fun this 50’s Diner Soda Shop 1st Birthday Celebration turned out to be! With the skill of Liz Bassey Studios, this party had the perfect mash-up of colors/patterns and details.
The invitations to the event were wonderfully created, a blending of blue, yellow, red, black and white made a nice retro-backing for the variety of bold fonts that stood out. To make it one-of-a-kind, the birthday boy himself was featured on the corner of them, ensuring that guests would know who was being celebrated.
An adorable sign pointed the way to the party fun saying, “Max’s Diner, Cribside service with a smile.” This fantastic decoration was a DIY wonder, created by a loving neighbor from wood, with working lights incorporated into it, with a laser cutting machine. Colored in the theme tones, this sign was a perfect introduction to hours of fun.
No 50’s party is complete without classic soda like Coca-Cola in retro bottles for everyone to enjoy, and this one made it a complete vintage experience by putting the bottles in old-school crates for a neat look.
Tables were set up in long rows, giving a family style experience that allowed guests to visit with each other easily. Fun checkered red and white table covers were used, blending with the theme and adding a pop of color. Each setting had a fantastic classic car waiting for the guests along with fun props like sunglasses, allowing everyone to join in the on excitement.
A menu was diy’d as well to match the invitations with the bold patterns, array of colors and the variety of fonts that really drew in the eye.
There was even an adorable cart used to hold some sweets like licorice that was fantastically decorated with a couple of cardboard characters and a jukebox.
